Beach & Sea

The entire Riviera of Trieste is dotted with many pebble and rocky beaches where you can forget the stress and commitments. You can eat a good ice cream or sip a mojito while relaxing with your feet in the sea.
Access to the sea near our hotel is the Port of Duino, a small corner of paradise where you dive from the rocks; It is also possible to access the Dama Bianca bathing establishment where sun loungers and parasols are provided for a fee.

The largest free beach in the area is the Sistiana Bay, reachable on foot via the Rilke trail (about 3km) or by car (7 minutes); There are paid parking lots and the beach clubs rent sunbeds and umbrellas on request.

At Portopiccolo access to the beaches is free, any services on request are subject to charges.

Going a little further towards Trieste, there are the Ginestre (seaside resort for a fee) a beach of white pebbles that opens onto the gulf and behind the cliffs overlooking the sea studded with broom bushes.

Shortly after, there is Canovella de Zoppoli in the Marina di Aurisina port; beach of white pebbles and large slabs of rock on which to lie immersed in the blue of the sea and in the green of the Mediterranean scrub. Here there is also a bar/restaurant called "Chiringuito Canovella" which offers excellent fish dishes a stone's throw from the sea.

Continuing on is the free beach of the Filters which is accessed by going down the blind road (via Piccard) at the crossroads of Santa Croce, which also leads to the Bellariva restaurant.

For sand lovers, you can reach Marina Julia in 15 minutes by car and the famous town of Grado in 30 minutes.
